The Hyundai Sonata GLS is the is the middle level trim offered for this line. It features several equipments, features and options not available to the base trim yet its not as sumptuous as the top level LX. The Sonata is known for having the most number of interior features and standard equipments than most cars in the same price range so the middle level GLS is bound to be better than other middle level trims of other brands. Fitted with a V6 engine, the Sonata GLS' 2.7-liter engine is matched to an automatic transmission. It also comes with high-end tires on 16-inch alloy wheels.

The interior of the Sonata GLS is a revelation with its elegant interior, wood grain accents, better carpet, an upgraded stereo, an improved center console, dual map lights, and rear cup holders. Heated mirrors and a power antenna is also available for the GLS. As an optional feature, traction control is available to the GLS as a whole package along with the sunroof and anti-lock brakes.
