2002 Hyundai Sonata
The Hyundai Sonata is one of the best selling cars in the US, beating some of
the better-known brands. The reason for this is that with the Hyundai Sonata,
not only do people benefit from a lower price range they also receive a plethora
of comfort features that accompany each sedan. The Sonata is a mid-size sedan
that looks and feels a thousand dollars more than its actual price. This is a
great incentive for prospective buyers who look for good looks as well as great
price.

For 2002, Hyundai adds the new LX trim to the Sonata line-up. The Hyundai Sonata
is now available in the base, the GLS and the LX. The LX trim represents the luxury
level, with more fancy option features available to its name. The base Sonata
comes equipped with standard air conditioning, AM/FM/CD audio system, rear defroster,
power mirrors, power locks with keyless remote, power windows, cruise control,
remote fuel door and trunk releases, 60/40 split folding rear seat and variable
intermittent wipers. The 2.4-liter four-cylinder is the standard engine matched
to a standard five-speed manual transmission.
The GLS makes use of a stronger V6 engine that comes with a four-wheel disc brake.
It also improves upon the standard features available to the base Sonata and comes
equipped with grander interior trim, including deluxe cloth upholstery and better
carpet, leather-wrapped steering wheel, an enhanced center console, dual map lights,
rear cup holders, heated mirrors and a power antenna. The LX comes with everything
offered to the two lower trims plus leather seating surfaces, automatic temperature
control, and an eight-way power driver's seat. The Hyundai Sonata is a pleasant
car to drive. Though its standard engine isn?t made for extreme speed, it provides
ample boost for a stable and comfortable ride.
