1993 Hyundai Sonata
When the Hyundai Sonata was first introduced in 1989, it was fitted with a 2.4
litre 4-cylinder Mitsubishi engine that was coupled to Hyundai's multipoint fuel
injection. A year later, a 3.0-liter V6 engine was made available for the GLS
trim only.

The base engine had a choice between two transmission options, the standard 5-speed
manual and the optional 4-speed automatic; the GLS on the other hand only comes
with the 4-speed automatic. 1993 brought minor changes to the Sonata, except for
a body-color front air intake and new wheel covers, it remained basically the
same. But when the Sonoma remained unchanged, it meant that it retained its best-loved
features. The 1993 Hyundai Sonata is still reliable and stable on the road and
gives a great driving performance. It remains to be one of the quietest cars on
the road. A used 1993 Hyundai Sonata may not always be in the best shape but with
these specs acting as a guide, choosing the best from the lot will be an easier
task.
